On March 16, 2024, members of the Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Team (MOCONET) responded to a residence on Barberry Street in Willis, Texas to assist Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office’s Homicide and Violent Crimes with a death investigation. A twenty-one-year-old male was found deceased at the location, and evidence found on scene indicated that he may have overdosed from the use of illicit narcotics. It was later confirmed that the male died from toxic effects of Fentanyl.
