Disaster declaration issued in Montgomery County, some roads still underwater Thursday

The San Jacinto River Authority Thursday morning is releasing storm water from Lake Conroe at more than 19,000 cubic feet per second. County Judge Mark Keough signed a disaster declaration for Montgomery County, which in the past day alone has seen an upwards of 10 inches of rain in some areas, he announced in a Facebook post.
