Concerned DC residents to join District, Montgomery Co. leaders in Ward 5 safety walk

WASHINGTON (7News) — Dozens of people are expected to gather in D.C.’s fifth ward Tuesday evening for a safety walk amid concerns about a crime increase in the area. D.C. Police Chief Pamela Smith and D.C.’s ANC Commissioner Kathy Henderson along with several others from Montgomery County and the District will meet at 1600 Maryland Avenue, Northeast at 5:30 p.m. to kick off the walk, according to a statement.
