Alton Police have announced the arrest of a murder suspect in the shooting death of Jarred Hayes the night of November 7th at a home on 7th Street. 42-year-old Stanford Stokes of St. Louis was arrested on Thanksgiving Day in Montgomery County, Texas, and will eventually be brought back to Madison County for trial.
