It’s a no-brainer to say that education is at a crossroads in our county and in our country. What’s happening here mirrors what’s happening in much of the country. Among other huge sea changes, the educational experience for most students is stretching out beyond the antiquated and idealized 21-year-old graduate, replaced by “the future fluid student” who might finish formal education at age 25 or 35 while raising children or working a full-time job.
