Wreaths Across America is a tradition born in Maine but now celebrated at some 2,500 locations across the U.S. and abroad including Montgomery County. The tradition involves laying more than 1 million wreaths nationwide on the headstones of those who fought in wars ranging from the Revolutionary War to present-day conflicts, according to the Wreaths Across America organization.
