The Montgomery County Sheriff’s jail division was recently recognized by a national trade organization, the agency announced earlier this month. The National Sheriff’s Association’s Jail Innovation of the Year Award was bestowed on the county sheriff’s jail division for its “cutting edge of corrections and jail operations,” the agency stated in an April 20 press release.
