The Area 19/20-5A meet saw plenty from Montgomery County qualify for this week’s Region III-5A championship in Humble. The New Caney boys was the top-performing program with a third place finish this past Thursday at Katy Paetow High School. College Station won the area championship with 104 points, Paetow was second with 80 and the Eagles were third with 65 points. Magnolia West (56) and Lake Creek (53) followed New Caney.
