Montgomery County Food Bank’s inaugural fun run raises $74,555 to help feed those in need

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — Montgomery County Food Bank (MCFB) held its inaugural Outrun Hunger fun run presented by Suddenlink, the local provider of internet, TV, home and mobile phone service, on February 26, 2022 at Grand Central Park in Conroe, Texas. The event exceeded the Food Bank’s goals by raising a total of $74,555 which will help provide thousands of nutritious meals for hungry children, families and seniors throughout Montgomery County Outrun Hunger featured timed 5K and 10K trail runs and a 1K Second Line Parade led by New Orleans band – Hustlers Brass Band. Not even the rain and arctic temperatures could stop volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and over 200 participants from supporting the Food Bank and successfully ‘outrunning hunger.
