HOUSTON – It’s spring and the Greater Houston area’s “pick your own” berry farms are beginning to open for business. The “pick your own” season begins with the strawberry crop, which is harvested in the spring. Blackberries are generally harvested in May and early June and the blueberry harvest season typically extends from May through July, depending on the varieties grown.
