Cash reward set in Conroe man’s murder case

A $1,000 cash reward has been set up for anyone with information on the Christmas Day shooting murder of a Conroe man whose killer targeted him for robbery. During a welfare check, Jose Diaz, 37, was found dead by Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies around 10 p.m. Dec. 25 at a home in the 3000 block of Highline Oaks West. Diaz’s family had found him lifeless at the home while checking in on him, according to the sheriff’s office.
