A 91-year-old veteran in the Tamina community will be getting a new home, and the major funding was kicked off by a generous donation from a Conroe surveying company. Pfc. Romie Hollins was recognized for his service earlier this year at a dedication ceremony for the Sweet Rest Cemetery in Tamina on Memorial Day. But the community wanted to do more for the veteran and his wife, Eva. Their home, which has water damage from past storms, was not suitable for the elderly couple.
