Sunday morning Montgomery County Precinct 1 Lake Patrol responded to a sinking boat on Lake Conroe near the FM 1097 bridge. Units arrived to find three adults in a 16-foot bass boat standing on the bow with life jackets. The entire rear of the boat was underwater. After rescuing the occupants who were not injured they towed the boat to shore. On inspection they discovered the connection to bring lake water into the live well had broken and was flooding the boat to a point the bilge pump could not keep up.
