Montgomery County splits $4M after ExxonMobil ends its tax abatement

Montgomery County commissioners divided up around $4 million in property taxes from ExxonMobil after the firm canceled its tax abatement agreement with the county. The canceled agreement will result in the company repaying about $4 million in property taxes to Montgomery County, The Woodlands Township and The Woodlands Road Utility District.
