MONTGOMERY COUNTY – Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers investigated a two-vehicle fatality crash on Interstate Highway 45 in Oak Ridge, TX. The preliminary crash investigation indicates on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at approximately 8:08 p.m., a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling south. A 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe was parked in the HOV lane, assisting a disabled motorist on the inside shoulder. The Harley Davidson struck the rear of the Chevrolet. The rider of the Harley Davidson, 44-year-old Lonnie Washburn of Friendswood, Texas, was pronounced deceased on the scene by Montgomery County Justice of the Peace Matt Beasly.
