MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — The National Weather Service continues to monitor the tropics for possible tropical cyclone development in the northwestern Caribbean Sea or southwestern Gulf of Mexico by the end of this week or weekend. The system could potentially bring winds and heavy rainfall across the coasts of Louisiana and Texas early next week. The exact impact still remain highly uncertain at this time and will depend on the track of the system as the system has yet to respond. There is a 50% chance of formation in the next 48 hours and an 80% chance of formation in the next 5 days.
