An emu has been roaming at large this week in Roman Forest, a small town northeast of Houston in Montgomery County. The Roman Forest Police Department posted a Facebook warning about the rogue bird on Thursday. “Officers have been looking for this insurance salesman soliciting without a permit around the city today,” the post reads. “But on a serious note, there is an emu reportedly running at large in the city. Please drive carefully and let us know if you see him.”
