POWER OUT IN PORTER LAST NIGHT? HERES WHY

Just before 10 pm Friday night a Montgomery County Precinct 4 Deputy was working patrol in Timberland. He was sitting on close to the intersection watching a stop sign that drivers have been ignoring. Within minutes a vehicle flew through the intersection without even slowing. As the deputy turned his headlights on the driver spotted him and cut his headlights off and sped off. The deputy did not even have a chance to activate his emergency equipment. The deputy attempted to locate the vehicle but did not. Minutes later a call was dispatched for a crash involving a car hitting a power pole at the north dead-end of Timberland. The deputy responded and within in seconds arrived just in time to see the driver throughout a small package of cocaine. Power lines were down on the vehicle and the power was out with residents coming out on their driveways to see what had happened. Juan Carlos Padilla Jr., 24, of 19242 Timberland was arrested and charged with evading arrest and detention with a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, and driving while intoxicated.
