Combined Efforts During Traffic Stop Yields 42 Kilos of Methamphetamine

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX — On 7/24/2021, around 6:30pm, Deputies from Pct. 4 Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden’s Office and Pct. 1 Constable Phillip Cash’s Office stopped a vehicle for several traffic violations in Montgomery County. During the traffic stop, 42 kilos of methamphetamine, with a value of approximately half of a million dollars, were located inside the vehicle. Also inside the vehicle deputies located a loaded handgun. The sole occupant, Jesus Acevedo-Vital, a Mexican National, was arrested for felony manufacturer/delivery of a controlled substance and felony unlawful carrying of a weapon.
