At 3:10 pm Thursday, Porter and East Montgomery County Fire Departments responded to a call for a home that was struck by lightning in the 21300 block of Timber Bluff Ct. in the Valley Ranch area. Units went on scene with smoke coming from the rear of the home. A fire was found in the attic damaging the attic, kitchen, and bathroom areas of the home. The homeowner who was home at the time told firefighters lightning struck the house. A hole was found in the roof along with another hole and heavy damage to an attic vent.
