Just before 8 am Thursday EMC Fire was dispatched to a fire at the Jack In The Box on I-69 at FM 1485. Units arrived with heavy smoke visible. Additional units were called from Porter and Caney Creek. Once inside firefighters determined the fryer had started the blaze and it was quickly extinguished. The Montgomery County Fire Marshal is investigating in addition with any food establishment fire the Montgomery County Health Department is responding.
