I-45 LANES HAVE REOPENED AFTER AN OIL SPILL

About 8:30 am a commercial truck was traveling south on I-45 near Rayford Road when the driver struck a wheel with a strut attached and ruptured his oil pan. South Montgomery County Fire Department responded to the scene and notified TXDOT. TXDOT contacted Milstead HMR to handle the spill cleanup. The right lanes were closed for about 4-hours and have since reopened. They believe the wheel was either from a previous crash or fell off an already wrecked vehicle being towed as there were no three-wheeled vehicles at the scene.
