Norman Wilkerson Jr. age 57, started out many years ago as a wrecker driver, he acquired the name “Stormin Norman” after being struck by lightning twice on different occasions. He then decided to become a Certified Peace Officer and worked with several departments including San Jacinto Sheriff’s Office and then in 2019 Cut N Shoot Police Department. Cut N Shoot which is a small community of just over 1500 people borders Conroe on the east along SH 105.in 1975 the population was 50, in 1980 809. Its 2/7 square miles was incorporated into a city in 2006. It has a two-man police department. The Chief and the Assistant Chief Norman Wilkerson. Wilkerson took over as Assistant Chief in 2019 after the late Assistant Chief Henry Menz died after a short illness in December of 2019. In 2020 they logged close to 2000 calls for the community.
