NEW CANEY TEEN CRITICAL AFTER COMMING IN CONTACT WITH HIGH VOLTAGE LINES

At 7:30 pm MCHD and East Montgomery County Fire Department were dispatched to possible electrocution on FM 1485 near Dry Creek. Fire arrived on the scene and reported a 17-year-old male unconscious with CPR in progress. Medics worked for close to 20-minutes and were able to revive the teen. He was transported to Kingwood Hospital in critical condition. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident. The teen was resetting a flag-type banner in front of Maria’s Appliances. The wet banner, which is attached to a metal pole came in contact with the overhead 33000-volt power lines running down the middle of the driveway from the road to the transformer on the property.
