A former east Montgomery County High School teacher will be serving seven-and-a-half years in prison after having a sexual relationship with one of her students. Rhiannon Ballard Petty, 43, of Shepherd, pleaded guilty to improper relationship between an educator and a student, a second-degree felony. Petty was sentenced Wednesday by presiding 435th District Court Judge Patty Maginnis.
