Th, 2021, at approx. 7:09 P.M. the Conroe Police Department responded to a disturbance call in the 1700 block of Crest Hill Lane. Upon arrival, it was learned that a 53-year-old male and a 55-year-old female had been shot inside the residence. The victims’ son, that was still on location, identified his older brother as the shooter. The suspect fled the scene on foot prior to the officer’s arrival. A perimeter was established in the immediate area and after five hours of searching, the suspect was located hiding in a wooded area nearby. The male victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition where he later died and the female victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The suspect has been identified as 28-year-old Gabriel Alexander Garcia Cardona. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on one count of murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon /family violence. Since the death of the father charges are expected to be upgraded. Details of the shooting are still being investigated and no further information will be given at this time. Conroe PD is working closely with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office on this case.
