Conroe Salvation Army’s Wayne Bergstrom Center of Hope has seen a slight increase at the shelter due to a historical freeze which prompted a statewide power outage. While there were 41 people sheltered on Saturday, the arctic temperatures has brought that number up to 50 since then at the 72-bed shelter, Salvation Army Community Liaison and Shelter Coordinator Bonnie Atzenhoffer said Tuesday.
