GIRLS HOOPS: Lake Creek, New Caney, Conroe fall

Lake Creek fell shy of its first-ever playoff wins by the closest of margins Friday night at Navasota High School. The Lions lost 45-44 to No. 22-ranked Bryan Rudder in the Region III-5A bi-district round to end the season. Lake Creek (16-10) outscored the Rangers 10-6 in the final quarter.
