CAR DRIVES THROUGH HOUSE

Just after midnight Friday a teen was traveling down Tableland Trail in the Montgomery Creek Ranch Subdivision in Conroe. He failed to negotiate the turn at Western Ridge Way, jumped the curb, and ran into the house, The vehicle traveled through the resident’s office and into her living room. One resident had just gone to bed when the crash happened, bricks flew back into her bedroom. She got up and not realizing what had happened was tripping over debris. The other resident had just left out of her home office 30-minutes earlier when she heard the crash. The first thing she saw was the teen standing in her living room. She picked up a 2×4 telling him to get out of her home. It wasn’t until a few seconds later that she realized there was a car in her dining room and it was the driver she confronted with a piece of wood that was part of the debris field. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constables responded to the scene. MCHD determined the lone occupant of the driver had just suffered a minor facial injury from the airbag. Both residents were uninjured. After Texan Towing was able to get the vehicle out, Needham Fire Department assisted in cleaning some of the debris and securing the front of the house. The home suffered extensive damage.
