WILLIS — Simply put, Magnolia has been on a roll to begin the season. The Lady Bulldogs continued their blazing start to the 2021 campaign with a 3-0 victory over Porter on Saturday afternoon at the Willis Kat Cup showcase. Magnolia, ranked No. 4 in Class 5A by the Texas Girls Coaches Association, improved to 7-0. “Our main focus for the tournament was just preparing for our first district game because it’s right around the corner,” Magnolia coach April Cleveland said. “We open with College Station, so regardless of who we play and the talent they have, we need to focus on us and what we do and what we’re going to improve on to be ready for that first district game.”
