Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, 12-year-old Ruth Schoppe has looked for ways to continue serving the community. Schoppe, who lives in the Graystone Hills neighborhood, is a part of the American Heritage Girls program, chapter AHGTX 1230. According to her dad, Kevin, the group focuses on faith, family, self development, citizenship and community service for young ladies ages 5-18. With the pandemic ceasing many services, there weren’t many opportunities to serve.
