A Louisiana developer is hoping Conroe will annex about 18 acres for the construction a community of single-family rental homes along FM 1488 just west of Kuykendahl Road. Bryan McLain, owner of McLain Companies, presented his project to the Conroe City Council during a workshop meeting Dec. 9 explaining the annexation with city water and sewer is critical to the future of the development.
