Montgomery County fire kills 5 dogs, destroys home

A fire in Montgomery County destroyed a mobile home and killed five dogs, according to the Montgomery County Police Reporter. Dispatchers got calls around 9:10 a.m. Saturday for a fire on Bert Brown Road in Conroe. The blaze was put out when the responding fire crews from Caney Creek, Conroe and Needham fire departments arrived, but five dogs died in the flames. The fire marshal believes the fire started in a bedroom when some family members were still asleep, per the Montgomery County Police Reporter.
