On December 16, 2020, at about 3:00 am a Deputy with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was on patrol in the area of Willis Waukegan and Ramzi Road due to a recent number of burglaries in the area. While patrolling, the Deputy observed a silver Chrysler 300 commit a traffic violation, at which time the Deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in the 11700 block of Willis Waukegan. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Amber Cunningham, a 41-year-old white female who was found to have two active warrants and was subsequently arrested. Per policy, an inventory of the Chrysler was completed prior to being towed. During the inventory, Deputies discovered multiple credit cards and other forms of identifying information belonging to other persons inside Cunninghams’ purse. Detectives later interviewed Cunningham regarding the information found in her purse and learned that Cunningham acquired the stolen credit and debit cards through multiple sources. Detectives also learned that Cunningham created fraudulent state identification cards for herself and several of her friends and that the computers and printers used to create the fraudulent identification documents were at the Motel 6 located at 820 IH-45 South in Conroe. A search warrant for the hotel room was executed, and several computers, printers, additional fraudulent documents, and what is believed to be narcotics were seized from the hotel room. Cunningham was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on the two outstanding warrants, and detectives anticipate filing additional charges. This is an on-going investigation as there are believed to be additional individuals that have fallen victim to Cunninghams illegal activity.
