FOOTBALL: Montgomery advances past Whitehouse on late Washington TD

MONTGOMERY — When the fog settled Friday night at Montgomery ISD Stadium, the Bears were dancing all over the turf. With a dense, thick fog covering the field, junior running back Jalen Washington rushed in a 62-yard touchdown with 10 seconds left to give Montgomery a 38-31 win over Whitehouse in the Region III-5A (Div. II) bi-district playoffs.
