SHIRO – Forty-one-year-old Melissa Joyce McCarty, of Conroe, lost her life in an automobile accident on Texas State Highway 30 near Shiro Thursday, Oct. 29. According to Texas Department of Public Safety, at approximately 11:50 a.m. a 2004 Suzuki driven by Scotty Lee Logue, 58 from Conroe was driving eastbound on SH 30 east of Shiro. Logue had three passengers in his vehicle. While driving Logue took evasive action to avoid striking a 2007 GMC C6500 propane truck that was turning into a private driveway.
