Just after 7 pm, North Montgomery County firefighters were dispatched to the 2000 block of Lakewood Court in Seven Coves for a chimney fire. Units from Conroe and Montgomery were also dispatched. On arrival, they had heavy smoke. Due to the age of the units and knowing the units did not have firewalls a second alarm was pulled. However, within minutes firefighters were able to contain the fire to the chimney and canceled the second alarm. There were no injuries and damage was minimal.
