MOTORCYCLE VS DEER CRASH-DRIVER CRITICAL-SPRINGFIELD DR- On 10-08-09, approximately 2:30 am, Conroe Police officers responded to a reported burglary of a motor vehicle in progress in the 1000 block of Gladstell Street. Upon arrival, officers located a white Dodge pickup that appeared to have forcibly entered. The initial information received indicated that two males in a grey color Dodge pickup had attempted to break into the white truck and possibly steal items out of the truck. The initial descriptions of the suspects were a white male driver and a black male passenger. The black male allegedly made entry into the vehicle and caused damage to the locking mechanism on the white truck. The suspects left the scene in the grey color Dodge truck. The description of the suspect vehicle was broadcast to patrol units and officers located the suspect vehicle in the 600 block of S. Frazier Street. Officers attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, however, the driver of the vehicle refused to stop attempted to evade the officers. Officers initiated a pursuit that traveled from South Frazier Street to Gladstell Street, then to southbound I-45 towards Houston. Local agencies including the Shenandoah Police Department, Oak Ridge Police Department, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constables, and other agencies were notified of the pursuit. Shenandoah Police officers were able to deploy spike strips causing the suspect vehicle’s two right tires to deflate. Close to the county line Harris County Sheriff’s office also joined in. The chase continued at speeds close to 70 MPH on two right-side rims to the Beltway. They then continued east on the beltway to Aldine Westfield exiting there and continued east on the feeder. At Crosswinds, they turned south finally running up over the curb right on the Houston city limits. They attempted to flee on foot but were taken into custody. They had a stolen truck from Humble and appeared to be attempting to steal another one in Conroe. The driver of the vehicle Nicklas Robertson is currently on parole for theft over $200,000. On February 27, 2007, he was sentenced to 8 years in TDCJ for the theft charge and on March 17, 2005, he was sentenced to 10 years for criminal trespass. Currently, no bond has been set for him in the Montgomery County jail on the charges of Evading Arrest with a vehicle and a previous conviction, Unauthorized Use of a motor vehicle, and possession of marijuana.His passenger Pierre LeBlanc is charged with criminal trespass and theft of property of over $1500 but less than $20,000.He missed is anniversary by only a few days. On October 7, 2006, he was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a motor vehicle and given 3 years probation in Harris County. Also October 26, 2008, he was charged with criminal trespass and got 45 days probation and a year before that 130 days for burglary of a motor vehicle all in Harris County. He is in the Montgomery County jail on a total of $1500 in bonds. Pierre LeBlanc who was the passenger in the vehicle.
