MONTGOMERY COUNTY PATROL CAR CRASHES SH 105 AT CROCKETT MARTIN. Dennis Goains of Conroe won’t be on the roads driving drunk again. A Montgomery County Jury today gave him a life sentence. According to Darla Faulkner, Assistant Montgomery County District Attorney Goins is a habitual criminal with prior charges of DWI and burglary. The jury was out a little over two hours before the verdict came in. On February 1, 2008, Conroe police officer Mark Nichols stopped Goins near Highway 105 and the East Loop. Nichols said he was even driving on the shoulder of the road. Darla Faulkner credited Nichols with fantastic police work on helping to get the conviction on Goains.
