Saturday morning three vehicles were traveling north on I-45 in Shenandoah when two vehicles collided. One of those vehicles veered into another lane and was rear-ended by a female in a Chevrolet pickup. The collision caused her vehicle to go out of control and just like the truck which was involved in the crash last week which went into Papa’s BBQ, she traveled across three lanes of the freeway, across the median, across three lanes of feeder down a hill and launched into the pond at Portofino Shopping Center behind Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant. The female was rescued and suffered minor injuries. The recovery of her vehicle was a different story. Milstead Heavy Duty was called to the scene. Drivers from Milstead also brought a boat and was able to hook up the vehicle. One driver had to enter the frigid water to make the final connections to remove the vehicle. The hazmat team then moved in to clear the oil and transmission fluids in the water.
