State says hydrilla has returned to Lake Conroe

It’s been 10 years since hydrilla was found on Lake Conroe but the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department says the invasive water plant is back. State officials say less than a tenth of an acre of hydrilla was found in the Caney Creek arm of Lake Conroe, which spans over 20,000 acres. The small hydrilla colony was treated with a targeted herbicide.
