Robin Montgomery: Whitson Etheridge was the ‘Mr. Encyclopedia’ of Conroe

It’s difficult to imagine a man more dedicated to Conroe in multiple avenues than the late Whitson Etheridge, on both a professional and social level. To this writer, he was an inspiration and a major source on the history of Conroe. Many were the times I sat enthralled both while listening to tales of adventure in our city over his 95 years and in reading data he had recorded. Whitson not only observed and wrote, but he participated.
