Conroe couple sentenced 40-plus years for beating and starving child

A case involving the starvation and beating abuse of a Conroe boy has come to a close as the child’s mother and her boyfriend were sentenced to 40 or more years in prison. Angela Cassidy, 35, and Troy Eldon Hall, 45, both of Conroe, pleaded guilty to injury to a child by omission, a first-degree felony. Presiding Judge Phil Grant of the 9th District Court sentenced Cassidy and Hall on Sept. 4 and Monday, respectively, according to court records.
