NEW CANEY ULTA THEFT AND PURSUIT

Wednesday evening Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office go a call for a theft in progress at the New Caney Ulta. Units responded as a description was aired for a gold Lexus with a discolored rear bumper and three possibly four occupants. Constable Hayden set up on I-69 southbound along with other units. As the car passed several Montgomery County Sheriff’s patrol units also spotted it and a pursuit started with speeds over 100 miles per hour. THe traveled south on I-69 and exited in Humble where they traveled west on FM 1960 in heavy traffic. They then tried to double back toward I-69 when units lost sight of the vehicle in traffic. Moments later a DPS Sgt and DPS Trooper spotted the vehicle in front of the Walmart on FM 1960. It was in the ditch and had been involved in a crash. The driver of the vehicle that was struck told Troopers that the suspects had split up but were running across the parking lots. Humble Police were notified and a perimeter was set up. Within thirty-minutes all three females had been captured, two in a nearby apartment complex. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies recovered several thousands worth of merchandise. Jaquaysia Andrenique Robertson, 24, of 7050 Inwood Park Drive in Houston is charged with evading arrest with a vehicle and failure to stop and give information on the crash she was involved in. She remains in the Montgomery County Jail on bonds of just over $20,000. She has an extensive record including multiple thefts in Harris County, assault, resisting arrest, possession of the controlled substances. For her last theft conviction, in May of 2019, she was accused of stealing five pairs of shorts and nine shirts. That theft was enhanced to a State Jail Felony due to her prior theft convictions. A Harris County Judge sentenced her to 30-days in the Harris County Jail in that case. Prior to that, she was also convicted of thefts in San Marcos in 2015 and Brazoria County in 2018. Kiley Nicole Lewis, 17, of 510 MLK in Jeanerette, Louisiana was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on charges of theft of $2500 to $30,000 and evading arrest. No bond has been set on her as of yet. The driver she struck during the pursuit was a female from Louisiana driving a pickup and was delivering a generator to help maintain cell towers in the area destroyed by Hurricane Laura. Her truck had minor damage as it struck the left rear. Charges are pending on the other female.
