DPS today released the names of the persons involved in Saturday morning’s wrong-way fatal crash on SH 99 at Rayford. The driver of the SUV who was traveling the wrong way was identified as Abner Maldonado, 28, of Spring. He was transported to Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands in critical condition. Esteban Martinez, 62, of Tomball was on his way to work when he was hit head-on as he traveled east on SH-99. Martinez died at the scene.
