At 3:33 am calls started to come into the 911 call center reporting a fire in the 16200 block of Barbara in the Walnut Cove area of Magnolia. Reports were that the house was fully involved, an elderly female which lives there was believed to still be inside and what sounded like ammunition was going off. Eight minutes later the first Magnolia fire truck arrived. The crew reported a single-story wood-frame house fully involved with a roof collapse. Additional tankers were called in from Tri-County Fire Department and Rosehill Fire Department. About an hour later firefighters found the female victim deceased. The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office is responding to the scene.
