Willis considers slightly higher property tax rate, sets hearing

The city of Willis has proposed a higher property tax rate and set a public hearing for the upcoming budget year. During the special teleconference meeting on Thursday, City Manager Robert Evans said a decision needed to be made as to whether the council wanted to accept or go over the “voter-approval tax rate” of 62.95 cents per $100 valuation.
