Waller County Sheriff Glenn Smith was at his daughter’s ranch early Saturday morning when he suffered a heart attack. He was taken to Bellville Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. A procession is traveling through Hempstead at this moment on the way to Canon Funeral Home in Waller.
