Early Wednesday morning a Montgomery County Deputy was on routine patrol in the Conroe Oilfields area off Moorhead Road near Exxon Road when he spotted a moped. He attempted to stop it but the driver refused. As the approached Johnson Road the driver cut into the woods on the pipeline and went down a deep ravine. He then abandoned the moped and fled on foot into the heavy woods. A Precinct 4 K-9 responded to the scene and began to track the suspect but then lost the trail. The moped was recovered and towed by Zone 3 Wrecker Service.
