Anything goes in the wild drive-in bingo games put on every week by the East Montgomery County Senior Center in New Caney, Texas. Senior citizens have faced some of the biggest challenges during this pandemic, many unable to get out of the house or see their families. But the senior center wanted a way for them to socialize safely. A few months ago, they came up with the idea of drive-in bingo. Players park their cars under a pavilion, tune into a radio station to hear the numbers, and honk and wave if they win. The prizes are often household items, like paper towels, dish soap, or snacks. But the players are determined to win and it gets very competitive!
